Rules and Regs is pleased to present six development programmes for artists working in Live Art. Taking place throughout 2008 and across England, each programme is a unique month-long opportunity for artists to explore their practice through making new work in close engagement with a curator.

About the development programmes...
In each programme, 3-6 artists will make new work in response to a set of Rules devised by the curator. These Rules are made in response to the practices and past work of the participating artists in an effort to aid them in exploring new ways of working. The artists in each programme work in response to the same Rules, and each programme culminates in a public showing of the work created. During each programme, participating artists have access to individually-designed professional development schemes, documentation of their work and a package of production support.
Interested artists apply directly to the organisation curating each programme. Calls for applicants will be made individually by each organisation and will feature details about the structure of the programme, artists' fees and timetables.
Artists do not apply with a specific project in mind. As the Rules are made in response to participating artists, they are not revealed until the development programme begins... AFTER artists have been selected and agreed to participate.
