Rules and Regs Network OPEN MEETING - 2008

The Rules and Regs Network is the expanding group of artists, curators and organisations associated with Rules and Regs.

The R&R Network aims to:

• facilitate relationships between these parties (and those who might work with R&R in the future)
• provide information and networking opportunities
• create a space to discuss issues related to making and presenting Live Art
• present the work of artists who have participated in past Rules and Regs programmes

The Rules and Regs Network 2008 Open Meeting consisted of two parts:

A roundtable discussion with the curators of the 2008 Rules and Regs programmes, facilitated by Rajni Shah.

A public meeting on 7 March at Toynbee Studios, London, from 2:00 - 5:30pm, featuring...

Presentations of work from past Rules and Regs artists:

• Katie Etheridge (R&R at Farnham Maltings, 2005)
• Tim Jeeves (R&R at Farnham Maltings, 2005)
• The Butlers (Matt Fletcher, R&R at a space, Southampton, 2005)

A guided of tour of the area around Toynbee Studios led by Richard Dedomenici.

A presentation from Peader Kirk on the need for artists to take a 'holiday', followed by discussion on the curator-artist relationship.
